Curricular Structure

One-hour webinar, mostly expository, in which the following topics will be addressed:

What is and how does Active Pharmacovigilance work? – An overview of the concept and its importance in detecting drug-related problems. The methods and techniques used in data collection and analysis to identify adverse events will be discussed.

Benefits of Active Pharmacovigilance: – We will discuss how active pharmacovigilance contributes to a greater knowledge of the safety profile of drugs and the quality of risk minimization measures.

Real examples: – Case studies and examples of how active pharmacovigilance has been employed in Portugal and Europe and its impact on public health.
